Thinair lets you run agents in an infinite canvas.

How to start

  1. Download Thinair
  2. Right-click anywhere on the canvas.

The Thinair canvas menu with Apps selected
  3. Choose Apps, then Terminal.

The terminal window asking which computer to use
  4. Click Mac. There isn't much reason to use the Thinair computer yet.

I built Thinair because paneled interfaces annoy me. They make me decide where everything goes before I understand the problem. I wanted one big surface where I could move things around until they made sense.

So I made an infinite canvas. Most of the time I use it to open terminals and run agents inside them. I can put each terminal wherever I want instead of stuffing everything into tabs.

I built a CLI called airterm so those agents can talk to each other. I also added composition tools to the Thinair CLI so an agent can put a plan or a mockup directly on the canvas.

The rest is normal computer stuff, except I can do it wherever I want. I draw things. I take screenshots, paste them back in, mark them up, and email them to people.

I keep using Thinair because it is more fun than a normal interface. That is the whole story.
